What is this General Corporate Action Plan?

This plan has been formulated to help create working conditions that support both the working and home life of both employees raising children, and those without children.

Tanaka Iron Works Co., Ltd., Action Plan

We will carry out the following action plan in order to allow employees to work and raise children together, and create an environment conducive to easier work for all, so that all can better demonstrate their talents.

Action Plan Period

5 years from April 1, 2015 - March 31, 2020

Goal 1: To increase general awareness of Act on Child Care/Caregiver Leave-based system to support life/work balance

  • Offer detailed information on basic allowance of child care benefits, systems, etc. to those planning on taking leave.
  • Explain support systems available after returning (shortened working hours or overtime limits for child caregivers, etc.) to those planning on taking leave.

Goal 2: To encourage the taking of paid vacation (Personal Leave)

  • Promote the taking of a paid vacation day for birthdays (own, partner's, child's), anniversaries or other important days.
    (If the day taken is within 1 week of the birthday or anniversary.)

Goal 3: To encourage new fathers to take paternity leave for the birth of their child

  • Promote the taking of 2 days paid holiday within the 2 week period around their child's due date for male employees.
